LET'S TALK ABOUT RETINOL

Retinol is hailed as the gold standard in anti-ageing skincare and stands out as one of the most extensively researched active ingredients. But what exactly can this powerhouse do for our skin, and who can benefit from it? Let's dive into the science behind this remarkable beauty elixir and explore its transformative potential.

BEAUTY AND SCIENCE: IT'S A MATCH

For many years, Judith Williams Cosmetics has been synonymous with highly effective retinol care. Driven by innovation, we have advanced our retinol formulations to create a revolutionary complex that ensures maximum efficacy, minimal irritation, and optimal compatibility. Our quadruple retinol power combines two encapsulated retinols with the plant-based retinol alternatives Bakuchiol and Quassia Amara. Like retinol, Quassia Amara stimulates collagen production, has anti-inflammatory properties, and strengthens the skin barrier. This perfect blend of active ingredients offers the ultimate anti-ageing treatment. Compared to earlier forms of retinol, our products are highly effective and suitable for all skin types, making them the ultimate anti-ageing solution for every skin at any age. Our complex boosts collagen synthesis, reduces fine lines, and promotes an even skin tone, resulting in visibly younger-looking skin all year round.

"Science and beauty go hand in hand. Innovation is the link that binds them."

Retinol, Retinal, Tretinoin...?

Retinoid-ABC

Transformation steps explained:

Retinol

Retinol, the most common form found in skincare products, must first be converted into retinaldehyde and then into retinoic acid. This means there are two conversion steps in total.

Retinal

Retinal (retinaldehyde) requires only one conversion step to become retinoic acid.

Tretinoin

Tretinoin (pure retinoic acid) is already in its active form and requires no further conversion steps. This retinoid is prescription-only and not available over the counter.
